POSITION SUMMARY:
Lakeland High School is searching for an Assistant Principal who will maintain a culture of trust, respect, and responsibility as part of Lakeland’s Leading EDGE. The position was established for the purposes of providing support to the instructional process with specific responsibility for supervising and evaluating staff to maintain a quality educational program; carrying out all activities that contribute to a safe school environment; working as a team member to support all students in preparation for career and life success; assisting with assessment, data collection, and data analysis; and coordinating facility use.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Hold a current Indiana secondary school administrative license
- Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the use of technology
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of conflict resolution, effective communication, cognitive coaching, and leadership theory
- Familiar with project/problem based learning and the New Tech Network
PREFERENCES
Has working knowledge of the following:
§ RISE evaluation rubric
§ Positive Behavior Support
§ RTI at the secondary level
- Speaks Spanish
- Has New Tech teaching or administrative experience
