About Parkside Elementary School
Parkside is one of three elementary schools in Lakeland
School Corporation (LSC). Students
entering sixth grade attend Lakeland Middle School and then begin their freshman
year at Lakeland High School. Parkside’s
attendance area includes all of Bloomfield Township and a portion of Clay
Township. Due to LSC’s transfer
option for elementary students, approximately 10% of the enrollment is comprised
of students from the other two Lakeland elementary schools.
Parkside Elementary School serves an enrollment of about 500
students in Kindergarten through fifth grade. While the enrollment is the highest of the elementary schools in LSC, the
staff strives to create a “family” environment through community building
activities across grade levels, with students, parents, and community members. The staff recognizes that the foundation for learning is a secure, caring
environment that sets high expectations for student learning and achievement.
Vision Statement
Parkside Elementary School is a
safe, caring community where student learning is supported and achieved.
